The second Annual General Meeting of the Sandford Heritage Community Group will be held on Monday 29th September, 7.30, in Sandford Community Hall. It will cover a short summary of the work of the past year, a financial report and election of officers.
All members can vote and stand for committee positions. Anyone interested in joining, or attending the AGM with an interest in Sandford's natural or cultural heritage is very welcome to come to this or the regular meetings of the group. Volunteers are always needed, and there are a variety of opportunities to help with events, fundraising, research, and taking projects forward.
The AGM will be followed by a talk on The First World War, with some references to Dorset, by Richard Smith, Director of The Tank Museum. In the centenary year of the outbreak of The Great War, this is a highly topical subject.
Refreshments will be available.
This is event is free; donations will be invited towards costs of hall hire and refreshments.
